I printed and my wife used the Wool Spindle.
The following improvement were suggested. Make the base heavier so it does not fall over when I pull on the wool and add something to stop the wool coming over the top.
I added a tray at the bottom of the Spindle so weights can be added.
I added a screw thread at the top and a bobbin that can be screwed on.
Interestingly I also added a bearing blank. When I checked the difference between the 22 mm roller bearing and the bearing blank there was very little difference in how well the wool spindle worked.
Supports were used for the spindle only.
Assembly
The spindle need the support material removed than the bearing can be glued in place.
The spindle can then be placed over the base after some weight is added. The weight can be glued in to stop them moving. Anything can be used from old nuts or washers to purchased weights.
The spindle can then be placed over the base.
The bearing blank can be used instead of the 22 mm skateboard bearing.
If you want you can screw the spindle top on the spindle to stop the wool coming over the top.
