Stadler Form Design Ultraschall-Luftbefeuchter / Eva Ultrasonic Humidifier is an ultrasonic humidifier, ensures precise humidification thanks to an external humidity sensor, which also serves as a remote control. With its unique adaptive humidity technology, eva adapts the humidification output in auto mode to reach and maintain the desired humidity level quietly and efficiently. Eva also has a unique optional pre-heating feature, resulting in a comfortably warm mist along with higher performance. Eva can sit directly on the floor, which due to the high risk of damage, very few ultrasonic humidifiers in the market can boast.
It has a quite expensive water filter to avoid white dust & limescale. I am unhappy with the price politics from Stadler as one new filter will cost you somewhere between 20-30eur/usd. This is also not environment friendly as you need a new one every one to three months depending on the amount of water hardness (has high mineral content esp of limestone or chalk).
This project was about to build an environment friendly refillable filter which fits into your Stadler. The cylinder designed has a wide thread which you can open and refill with replacement granulate. This is also factor 100 cheaper long term!
The granulate is very much the same as for espresso machine filters. You can buy this via my affiliate link here: https://amzn.to/2DmpTHq
Furthermore you will need a tight mesh between part 1 and 2 (see assembly below). You can buy this also here: https://amzn.to/2Q0Dvti (but also any other form of mesh which is small enough to keep the granulate inside the cylinder AND is also permeable to water should do the trick!
I would be happy if you donate so I can spend more time to improve.
