Much improved version of the Sony HDRAS15 TripodCase by ViniG. Changes include:
1) Flimsy latch bar that breaks off easily replaced by elevated bump that's part of and flexes with case sidewall to snap camera into place.
2) Bottom of case reinforced by rejoining the curve.
3) Mic and USB access windows added. Requires removal of the acc'y cover.
4) Large open side face reinforced by converting to smaller beveled openings. Tendency was to warp if exposed to sunlight.
5) Lowered the front wall rim making it easier to push the camera out with fingertip without touching the lens.
6) Stretched the vertical dimension by 1mm. Original was too tight, causing wear on the camera housing. Did not allow for extra bulge of the acc'y cover. Some play is perfectly fine.
