Hi,
I created this because the original model i based this on was a little to short. Because of that it startet rocking up and down when printing lager parts. Becuase i have the printer in my room i always heard the clicking of the rood spring holders rocking up and dwon. I tried to use some small washers with different thickness. But they were so samll that they deformed and jumped over the roods.
This Rood spring holders are 2mm higher and fit very tightly on the roods. I used some oil on them for lubrication.
The second difference is that the opening for the springs is a little bit wider to get the O Rings i used easier in place. Without this it also happened to me that i harmed the O Rings. This led to them ripping later on. Now that is not a problem anymore.
I use O Rings (Diameter 22mm, around 2mm thick) instead of springs, because i had them lieing around. The also help dampening the struckture and reduce vibrations if there are some.
If you choose to use O Rings don't forget to lubricate them with oil. Dry O Rings get "old" really fast which makes them brittle.
If you need other sizes just let me know. ;)
Good luck printing and have fun.
PS: Don't forghet to orient the mirrored parts before printing. Because of the mirror function i used the Z-axis is also inverted.
