HNK Zmaj was founded in 1921 and never changed the name. The first club president was Tonči Vuzio. From 1993 to 1996 club wore a sponsor name NK Zmaj-Euroherc. HNK Zmaj became a member in the regional podsaveza already 1922 year. In 1949 won the Dalmatian Cup. Three times a champion in the regional podsaveza. In the season 1954/55 participates in qualifying for entry in the 2nd league, but fails. In the season 1968/69 Club achieved the greatest success playing in the former second National League - South, but managed to play only one season.
