This is a magnetic tray for holding 1oz steel rounds to use as paint containers. Three magnets will keep the tray solidly in place, but the fit is honestly tight enough that they are an optional enhancement.
Nestles neatly into the crook of your painting hand for easy access to small, changeable paint rounds. Saves me the trouble of managing a single large wet palette. Edge post design works for right or left hand.
Uses two 10mm x 3mm or 10mm x 2mm disc rare earth magnets, set in with Gorilla Glue.
Fits standard 1oz steel containers / rounds ( ex: https://www.amazon.com/Screw-Top-Round-Steel-Pack/dp/B0065P3CLS ) -- keeps paints contained and fresh while working. Cut a wet sheet to fit for some extra life in small amounts of hand painted acrylics while working on models.
If using a Cricut / Silhouette Cameo or similar cutter on your painting parchment, a 1.85" circle will give you an almost perfect inner paint sheet with enough space to pull it off the damp sponge. I cut a sheet of little circle parchments and just keep them together in an envelope to use with other rounds.
