This is a design for a laser cut watch band.
I used it on leather but it can be used on thick fabric too.
Using a laser cutting machine makes it easier to have nice and precise cuts on the sides, the holes, etc.
This design features pre-cut stitching holes, and engraved groove for the stich to fit in nicely, and a lining.
This helps making a nice-looking stitch and makes this project super easy : cut it, glue it, sew it in the existing holes and you're done !
You need both files for this project : one is the actual watchband and the second one is the lining.
Material :
I recommend using leather 1mm thick or less for the watch band, and very thin leather (0.2 - 0.5mm) for the lining.
You also need two needles (preferably with a round tip) and some thick thread (at least 0.5mm thick, linen or synthetic, waxed if possible).
Sew it using "saddle stich" technique (look it up, it is easy).
Instructions :
Sewing and / or glueing are required.
This thing is made of four parts, the part with the buckle (part 1) and the part with the holes for the buckle pin (part 2), the lining for part 1 (part 3) and the lining for part 2 (part 4).
Basically you fold each part over itself.
Then you add the lining, make sure to make the holes match.
Then you sew it (see photos).
I will upload a full tutorial with detailed instructions if asked.
