My kitchen taps have the same type of neck as the one shown in the picture and wanted something to put the sponge/scourer in. I live in a hard water area that means you have a limescale deposit when the water dries out, which does not look nice on stainless steel.
I had a look around for something that would fit on the mixer tap, but only found ones for a vertical pipe. So i modified a soap dish that i had made earlier for the bathroom.
I used 2 x M3 x 50 bolts, 2 x M3 washers and 2 x M3 thumb nuts to attach it.
