This is a replacement spool holder for the left side of a Flashforge Dreamer (some people say version 2+) that has the 2 holes for 3mm bolts PLUS 3 raised positioners towards the center. (see picture).
The early Flashforge looks like it doesn't have the additional 3 positioning cylinders, and the screwholes are in a different place.
This clicks right into place over those tiny positioning cylinders and lets you screw the bolts into place*.
I'll note I did not need to secure the bolts with nuts when I put this in, and thus it did not require removing the bottom on my machine.
If you need to remove the existing spool holder without removing the bolts on the underside (and inside the machine) just put some upward tension on the existing spool holder by pulling it upwards with one hand, and unscrewing the bolt with the other hand (worked for me!).
I made this to support bigger roles, and you can use your existing filament rod which inserts through the center of the spool holder.
I made this specifically so I could use the Polyalchemy elixir large spools, which are much bigger than the verbatim spools.
You probably don't need the spool insert, but if you feel like printing it remember there's quite a few spool widths out there, so you'll need to adjust it (just print say 75% of it) as required. The polyalchemy elixir required that I sand the leading edge of the spool insert for 20 seconds so it slid in to the spool easily. But again, I didn't end up using it anyway.
This spool holder is for the LEFT side of the machine. The right side of the machine has a stepper motor at the back and using a large diameter spool with this spool holder may mean your spool hits the stepper motor.
