PVC Pipe Webcam Platform. I created this for my Microsoft Cinema Lifecam which is designed to wrap on the top of a monitor but when using a raised desk and raised monitors it was too high sitting on the monitor. This should also work for other webcams that can sit on a flat surface.
A 3/4" Sched 40 PVC is used as the support tower. You can cut it to length for whatever height you are wanting the camera to sit.
The base of the platform is made from the 3/4" STL from the Thing PVC pipe stands/feet by mverive (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2765363). I have included the file to print this part in this remix. The pipe will fit very tight in the base...you may want to sand a bevel in the end of the pipe to make it easier to push it all the way down.
The platform for the tower is made to fit inside of the 3/4" PVC Sched 40 Pipe to reduce the weight of the platform.
The tower show in the photos stands 8.5" and fairly stable...but if you wanted to increase the stability you can place washers, pennies, fishing weights, etc inside the pipe to make the platform even more stable.
It is the first thing I've designed so hopefully someone else will find it useful too :)
