This is a remix of the puzzle of evil. For me the original had several issues.
1) I could never get the hinge to work well
2) It's EASY and HARD but I felt it should be HARD and EVIL to match the puzzles name
3) The puzzle is difficult and since I was giving it away as stocking stuffers I wanted to include a hint system
4) The puzzle wouldn't close tightly
I switched the hinge to NOT be print in place but instead print the small hinge pin/axle and slide it in before removing the puzzle print from the printer bed. It fits perfect on my Ender3, snug no glue needed. The axle has a slight taper so insert the small end first, lol.
I disliked that the puzzle of evil doesn't include the word EVIL so I removed the original text and switched it to HARD and EVIL.
I included a watermark hint system! I am unsure if others have used this trick before but I embedded voids in the puzzle so that if you shine a light behind the puzzle it will reveal a hint on how to solve it. Both sides have hints. The hints do not reveal the entire solution.
I could not get the original print to close tightly so I corrected that too. Closes perfect for me now.
Print the axles vertically with a brim for best results
Print everything without supports
Original that I remixed:https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4039896
BOTH sides are 100% solvable!
NOTE: I've had trouble with people printing this model. It turns out that Tinkercad has some issues with voids in models. But it also turns out that the hints are so thin that in Cura unless the layer thickness is pretty fine .16mm or better, it will cut them right out of the print.
