The valve is loaded through the spindle by the weight placed at one end of the lever which has its fulcrum screwed to the cover on the other side. the load is adjusted by the counterweight placed at or near end of the lever. the lever is guided within the stirrup which is attracted to the spindle by a taper pin. the lower end of the spindle rests in the cavity within the valve to which it is attachted by means of a pin. the top end supports the lever through a steel bearing inserted in the lever.
