I have been playing around with this x230 frame from HobbyKing and it has one major flaw, it has no legs. This will cause a problem, as the quad will routinely tip over and break the props. Maybe an experienced pilot will not have this problem, but that is not me.
So enter in this plate. It will allow one to add carbon fiber rods as trainer legs. I have found this is sufficient enough to not make me crash as often.
Yes, if dropped from a distance, it will bottom-out. But face it, if your quad is dropping more then a few feet, you have bigger problems, like me flying it.
