Hi makers,
that's my project to replace the stock fan to any fan with 60mm mount.
The stock cover is remixed for more space and without screws (NB fan includes rubber mounts). The gap is 8mm plus tollerance than the original cover.
This modding is to replace the noisy fan on the motherboard.
I've installed:
Noiseblocker BlackSilentFan XR2 60x60x25mm (12v)
rubber mounts
original M3 screws
buck converter (24v->12v)
After the mod, the cover is 5mm from the bottom. An higher leg is suggested for better airflow (not essential)
