There are tons of all variants of the lamborghini Countach available as finished models and model kits in almost all scales. However, there is not a single kit or a model of the original LP500 prototype that I am aware of. Therefore, I decided to construct a printable and buildable model kit of this ultra rare car.

The process turned out to be much harder than I originally expected, mainly because the lack of information. Detailed comparison with the few pictures avaialble revealed that the blueprints I was using are useless. I went through ten complete iterations until I became somewhat satisfied with the overall shape.

My original intention was to make it as detailed as possible. However, I had to give up the idea of opening doors. The engine compartment and rear trunk may be opened in a future release. Did i say release? The model attached here is just to give you an idea of how the final model will look like. There is still some adjustments to the body and detailing of the wheels on the To Do list. The whole interior, under hood details and underbody are missing too. But in case someone wants to try fixing the body on a Fujimi or Aoshima chasis, here is a good start.

The model is in original size. It can be scaled as desired.

I will upload the finished parts as soon as they are completed.

One last word: I constructed this model using free CAD tools. Therefore, it would be unfair to charge others for the model, despite the countless hours spent in research and the long nights needed to build it. Therefore, download and distribute the model as much as you wish, but don't sell, and always acknowledge the original source.
